Our eco-friendly approach
Heir and guardian of a preserved terroir
For over 25 years, we have cultivated the land according to organic farming principles: manual harvesting, crop rotation to revitalise the soil, a ban on all pesticides, and strict, responsible water resource management…
“We only produce according to what the land can offer us.” Romain Ott.
Respect for the changing seasons and the balance of ecosystems guides every one of our actions. Rather than forcing nature, our goal is to work with it and enhance its beauty. This is an essential approach so that everyone can continue to admire it, both today and in the future.
Excellence is born from the balance between people, the land, and time.
At Château Léoube, respect for nature is not a separate initiative: it is an integral part of our vision. Nestled in a preserved natural setting, between vineyards, olive groves, forests, and the Mediterranean coastline, the estate thrives in harmony with the ecosystems that surround it. Every decision is guided by a commitment to preserving this precious balance and passing on the richness of this natural heritage intact.
Preserving today, cultivating tomorrow.
This approach is reflected every day through demanding practices designed to promote soil vitality, landscape quality, and the long-term sustainability of the vineyard. From resource management to biodiversity preservation, along with our constant attention to the impact of our activities, our commitment is rooted in a long-term vision. A simple conviction: the greatest terroirs fully reveal their potential only when they are respected and protected.
Committed to preserving the fertile land of Léoube intact, the Bamford family has been fully engaged in an agro-environmental approach for over 25 years.
Biodynamics, organic farming, ancestral know-how… Inspired by our head winemaker Romain Ott, our traditional and responsible cultivation methods give our wines their uniqueness.
They make the estate a key player in sustainable development, offering mainly organic wines under the AOC Côtes de Provence designation.
Prioritising short supply chains
We are aware of the impact of CO₂ emissions and strive to reduce them. We dedicate most of our fruit and vegetable production to the kitchen of our restaurant and mainly work with local producers whom we select rigorously.
EATING LOCAL AND SEASONAL
We grow seasonal fruits and vegetables that supply our Café daily during the season. For us, this means offering our guests a way to reconnect with the land, rediscover the freshness of food and its flavours. It also means preserving biodiversity and limiting food waste.
